Reflection on Da Word- graffiti artist

Before you get going on blogging about technology and its relationship to popular/sub popular culture, I'd like you to briefly reflect on the Da Word graffiti artist by Tonouchi. What isues do you think he raises? What issues did you like or dislike about what he says? What did you think about the language he uses and what questions did this reading raise for you?

My addiction

The type of technology that I use is my cellphone. I feel like I can’t go anywhere without it and I have to have my phone with me at all times. I’m always texting so it’s basically my addiction. I hate when I’m going to send a text and it won’t go through because I have no service at the certain place where I’m at. I also have my ipod with me at all times because I love listening to music. I can’t leave my house if I don’t have it with me. So basically my two addictions are my cellphone and my ipod!

  4. Why do you think you feel like you can't go anywhere without your cellphone or I-pod? What would happen? You might want to try to experiment...leave those things at home and see what happens. More so, right down how you feel without them. Perhaps, by understanding the connection with these items may make you aware of how much technology influences your life.
